We designed it to work with many cases, but Range may not fit with larger cases like the Otterbox. Range's plug has a 2mm offset. If you aren't using a case, there will be a small gap between the plug and your iOS device.
One solution is to get a headphone adapter to extend the jack out of your case. Just make sure it has four contacts (TRRS, to use the technical term).
