I think my Range may be reading inaccurately. How do I check? Print

You can check for accuracy easily at two points.

In boiling water: The temperature should be about 212°F (100ºC).

In ice water: Fill a cup with half ice and half water, stir for a bit to get the temperature even, and let the tip touch the water only, not the ice. The temperature should be about 32°F (0ºC).
